Who we are

NYC Language School has operated continuously in Isaan since 2010. We serve Thai students preparing for university and international employment, expatriate residents settling into life in Thailand, and corporate clients requiring high-quality translation and interpretation services. Our model is deliberately integrated: language teaching, credentialled exam preparation, certified translation, professional interpretation, and long-stay ED-Visa Thai programmes all operate under one institutional roof, sharing academic standards, quality-assurance processes, and student-record systems.

We chose Isaan deliberately. Northeast Thailand's demand for high-quality language services has historically been under-served relative to Bangkok, and the region's students, professionals, and expatriates deserve internationally-benchmarked education without relocation. Our two campuses — Khon Kaen and Udon Thani — are positioned to serve the entire Isaan region on-site, with hybrid online delivery extending reach nationwide.

What makes NYC different

Three things. First, transparency: we publish prices, refund matrices, teacher credentials, and outcome data — the material information a serious learner needs to make an informed decision. Second, accountability: every course carries a documented score-gain guarantee and re-sit clause, every translation carries a two-name accountability record, every interpretation engagement produces a client-signed completion sheet. Third, integration: because our four service pillars share systems, our clients can package language study with translation, interpretation, and visa support in a single coordinated engagement.

Language courses — Conversation, Grammar, CEFR-aligned skill-building, Business English, Aviation English, Hospitality English, OET Medical English, Thai for Foreigners at six CEFR levels, Chinese (HSK), Japanese (JLPT), Korean (TOPIK), and European languages. Exam preparation — IELTS Academic and General, TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, SAT, CU-TEP, TU-GET, KKU-AELT, GED, TBAT, TGAT English, A-Level English, Cambridge YLE for children. Translation — 14+ language pairs, certified with MFA legalisation. Interpretation — consecutive and simultaneous, on-site and remote. ED-Visa Thai — Ministry-registered, immigration-authorised, twelve months per issuance.

Verifiable outcomes

We publish outcome data on the Pricing page and, in more detail, on individual course pages. Representative figures: IELTS mean band gain of +1.2 over an 80-hour course; TOEIC mean score gain of +160 over an 80-hour course; documented CU-TFL Intermediate pass rate of 84% for full-time Thai completers; documented KKU-AELT target-band pass rate of 78%. Sample sizes and methodology are published; independent verification is available on request under our data-access policy.

Our teachers and translators

Native English teachers hold a bachelor's degree from an English-majority country plus TEFL/CELTA/DELTA. Thai teachers hold a bachelor's degree from a Thai university plus documented CEFR C1 English. Subject-matter translators hold field-specific credentials — medical translators hold nursing or allied-health degrees, legal translators hold law degrees or the Certificate of Legal English Proficiency. How to get started

Book a free 30-minute consultation via the Contact page or by calling either campus. For language students, this includes a placement diagnostic. For translation and interpretation clients, this includes a scope review and firm quotation. For ED-Visa clients, this includes a document checklist and initial timeline.

There is no obligation to enrol at the consultation. Many prospective students take a free placement test, review the recommended pathway, and enrol days or weeks later after comparing options. We would rather have an informed student than a fast-signed one — the outcomes are dramatically better.

Regional coverage

On-site delivery at Khon Kaen and Udon Thani. Hybrid online delivery nationwide, with the same teacher and same assessment as the on-campus cohort. Cross-border services with Vientiane are handled from the Udon Thani campus. Corporate on-site training is available across Isaan and, subject to travel, across Thailand.
